What we do
Covered Smile helps people in Alberta check their options, find a participating dentist and request an appointment. We are an independent booking service, not a government program, insurer or dental clinic.
Your coverage is determined by the plan
Our quiz is a preliminary check, not an approval or guarantee of eligibility. The Canadian Dental Care Plan determines eligibility, coverage, co-payments and approvals. A participating dentist must confirm your active coverage and any costs before treatment.
Our booking service is free to patients
There is no charge to you for using our service. Dental services can have co-payments, additional provider fees or uncovered costs. Ask the clinic for an estimate before agreeing to care.
Appointment requests
Submitting the form does not confirm an appointment. We will contact you to confirm a clinic and time, subject to availability. Please provide accurate contact and coverage information and tell the clinic if you need to change or cancel your appointment.
We do not provide dental advice
Information here is general guidance, not dental, medical, legal or tax advice. The dentist is responsible for your clinical care. If you have an urgent dental problem, contact a dental professional directly; for a medical emergency, call 911.
Consent and privacy
We use the permission you give on our form to contact you about your appointment and dental coverage options. You can withdraw consent by replying STOP or contacting us. See our privacy policy for how we handle your information.
For clinics
Clinic inquiries are expressions of interest, not a partnership agreement. Any attended-visit fees and referral arrangements are agreed separately before referrals begin. Nothing on this site names or implies a specific clinic partnership.
External websites and changes
Government information and external websites have their own terms. Plan rules and appointment availability can change. We may update these terms and will show the current date on this page.
